Compact S9000

AvL Motion · Netherlands

Dutch selective white-asparagus harvesting robot from AvL Motion (Westerbeek, NL) — a diesel-electric, self-propelled platform that uses optical RGB/AI plus underground spear detection across 12 rotating harvest modules to locate and cut ripe stalks in the row. Vendor marketing repeatedly calls it "autonomous", but the manufacturer's own spec table and FAQ both confirm one operator must be present in the field to direct the robot via remote control and collect the harvested spears — so it is classified here as assisted, not autonomous. Second- generation model, in commercial development since 2017 and launched 2021; the manufacturer's own product page is live and actively soliciting demo requests as of July 2026.

Grande

Grande

Burro (Augean Robotics, Inc.) · United States

Larger "pallet-scale" sibling of the base Burro cart — carries up to 680 kg (1,500 lb) and tows up to roughly 2,270 kg (5,000 lb) on flat terrain, versus the base Burro's ~227 kg (500 lb) capacity, aimed at nursery and orchard/vineyard operations moving pallets or loaded trailers through rows and corridors without a driver. Distinct from Burro's newer, higher-power "Grande 44" (44 hp, pre-order, deliveries H2 2026), which supersedes Grande at the top of the range.

B8 Harvester

Harvest CROO Robotics · United States

US (Tampa/Plant City, FL) autonomous strawberry harvester — 16 independently working picking robots on a wide self-propelled chassis span six beds (picking the middle four), using stereo/AI vision to identify ripe fruit and soft clamp-and-cut end effectors to pick without hand contact. Harvest CROO offers it as a harvesting service (lease + operations), not equipment for sale. In April 2025 the company announced field trials at commercial-scale operations (grower-investor Wish Farms) reached performance "on par with human harvesting," but there is no public evidence yet of general commercial availability beyond its investor-grower partner farms.

LeistungUp to 8 acres/day in 20-hour shifts at full commercial scale — company states this replaces the work of 25-30+ hand pickers; picks a full 16-robot pass on a plant in roughly 8 seconds, indexing to the next plant in about 1.5 seconds

Sprout

Muddy Machines · United Kingdom

UK-built selective-harvesting robot for green asparagus — self-navigates rows, uses computer vision to identify and measure ripe spears, then cuts and conveys them into onboard trays, letting one supervisor oversee up to ten units at once. Field-trialled since 2021 (Cobrey Farms, Herefordshire) and deployed on a small number of UK asparagus farms through 2024–25. Muddy Machines Ltd announced it was winding down in May 2025 after failing to close a further funding round, and Companies House lists the company as in liquidation as of mid-2026 — the machine is no longer sold, manufactured, or supported.

E-Series

Agrobot (Soluciones Robóticas Agrícolas S.L.) · Spain

Spanish robotic strawberry harvester from Huelva with up to 24 independent picking arms that grip and cut the stem so fruit is never touched, guided by colour/infrared depth sensors and LiDAR. A long-running pioneer (field work in Huelva and California, early Driscoll's trials) — but Agrobot itself still labels the E-Series pre-commercial and 'not for sale, project on development' as of 2026, with thin recent public evidence of commercial deployments.

Fieldworker 1

Fieldwork Robotics Ltd · United Kingdom

Cambridge/Plymouth-rooted raspberry harvesting robot with four soft picking arms and AI-enhanced 3D vision — spectral-frequency ripeness sensing removes human bias from pick decisions. Running a two-year harvesting-as-a-service programme with Place UK (Norfolk) and Littywood Farm (Stafford), backed by £3m funding; international trials planned in Portugal and Australia, commercial multi-robot fleets targeted from 2027.
