Every fact is sourced and dated.
Last reviewed 19 Jul 2026 · Zurich
The catalog is small on purpose. A machine carries the Verified mark only once its specification, price, EU status and outcomes have each been checked against a named source and stamped with the date that check happened. Nothing here is left to age quietly.
Where a fact cannot be confirmed, it reads "Not disclosed" rather than being guessed or quietly omitted. Prices are shown in their native currency alongside a euro figure, and each carries the date the price itself was last confirmed with a dealer or the manufacturer.
Verified and Tracked
Every listing is one of two kinds, and each card says which. Verified is the full standard: specification, price, EU status and outcomes each checked against a named source, dated, and re-checked on the cadence below. Tracked is a lighter profile — core facts checked and dated, full verification still pending. Tracked listings let coverage grow without diluting the standard: they never carry independent-result badges, and each one either graduates to Verified after a full source check or is removed. The catalog currently holds 28 verified and 67 tracked machines.
Vendor-claimed versus independently verified
Every outcome figure carries one of two labels. Vendor-claimed means the number comes from the manufacturer's own materials — useful, but their measurement, their conditions. Independently verified means the figure traces to a trial, university study or field measurement run by someone other than the seller. Both are shown; neither is hidden behind the other.
How often each fact is re-checked
| Field | Re-checked | Against |
|---|---|---|
| Specifications | Every 6 months | Manufacturer documentation |
| Price | Every 3 months | Dealer quote or manufacturer list |
| EU compliance | On any change | Official register + manufacturer |
| Outcomes | On publication, then annually | Cited trial or vendor report |
| Availability | Every 3 months | Verified dealer network |
The reference payback figure
Cards show a starred payback estimate ("2.4 yrs*") so machines can be compared on one line. It is always computed the same way: a 40 ha reference farm, €24/hour labour, €90/ha current input spend, combined with the machine's own labour-hours-saved and input-reduction figures and its verified EUR price. Machine price ÷ (labour savings + input savings per year) — nothing else. It is a comparison device, not a promise: open any machine's payback model and replace every assumption with your own numbers. Machines without a verified price or a usable savings model show no figure rather than a guessed one.
If a listing is wrong, it is a bug, not a rounding error. Tell us and it gets fixed, dated, and re-sourced.
Reporting an error
Spotted a stale price or a spec that has changed? Send the machine name and what looks wrong to verify@farmshops.ch. Corrections are checked against the source, applied with a fresh verification date, and the machine's "last verified" credential updates the moment the change lands.
