Autonomous farm machines you can buy in France

French autonomous field robot from Osiris Agriculture (Illies, Hauts-de-France; founded 2021) that self-navigates row crops via RTK-GNSS and delivers precision irrigation plus fertigation — nitrogen/potassium dosed into the water — through a foldable boom, generating its own electricity from the water flow as it runs (solar, diesel-generator or battery backup when off-water). Commercially sold since 2025 in northern France through distributor Verhaeghe Irrigation; Osiris itself lists crop-protection spraying as a future capability, not a current one.

Lely's free-navigating manure robot for solid and semi-closed barn floors — instead of scraping manure ahead of itself it vacuums the slurry into an onboard tank, spraying water at the front for better intake and at the back to leave grip on the floor. Dumping, wireless charging and water refilling happen at one central station; the C2 generation handles barns of up to roughly 120 cows and routes are managed from a mobile app.

French solar-powered micro-mower for vineyards, orchards and agrivoltaic sites — a 23–27 kg swarm robot that grazes vegetation at ~500 m/h, up to 16 h per day on sun and Li-ion. One 'shepherd' operator manages up to 50 robots from the Viticloud dashboard; born at Château Canon La Gaffelière in Saint-Émilion and sold outright or as Robot-as-a-Service.

DeLaval's robotic feed pusher-and-remixer — unlike plain pushers, a twin-spiralled rotating auger remixes the ration while repositioning it at the feed fence, keeping roughage strands intact so refused compacted feed stays appetising. Adaptive Drive adjusts speed and track to feed type and quantity; runs around the clock, up to 10 trips a day. Direct competitor to the Lely Juno.

DeLaval's voluntary milking robot (launched January 2020) — the first milking system to automatically confirm pregnancy, via in-line progesterone sampling (RePro) during milking.

In series production and delivered to customers since 2023; a hydrogen fuel-cell variant (TRAXX Concept H2, 35 kW) has been unveiled as a concept.

Stuttgart-built autonomous hoeing robot that identifies crops from the 1 cm cotyledon stage across 100+ validated crops and weeds mechanically around the clock — 40+ robots working 1000+ fields, offered mainly as weeding-as-a-service.

GEA's box-style voluntary milking robot — In-Liner Everything performs stimulation, teat cleaning, forestripping, milking and post-dipping in a single attachment, in the most compact box footprint (5.3 m²) on the market. Scales from single box to multi-box and robotic rotary; sold and serviced in Switzerland via GEA Solution Centers.

Lely's battery-electric automatic feed pusher — follows pre-installed floor strips with ultrasound distance sensing to push feed to the fence up to 48 times a day, returning to its charging station between runs. Current line is Juno / Juno Flex; the lidar-navigating Juno Max for 800+ cow farms was unveiled September 2024 with commercial launch expected 2027. Swiss sales and service via Lely Center Härkingen.

Lely's automatic feeding system — a feed kitchen plus a battery-electric mixing-and-feeding robot (MFR) that weighs, mixes and dispenses fresh ration on demand, scanning feed height at the fence 24/7. Current generation is the Vector MFR Next (launched March 2025) with 800 kg loading capacity; over 1,000 systems sold, in use in 31 countries. Sold and serviced in Switzerland via Lely Center Härkingen.

Fully electric autonomous vine straddler from Toulouse-based Naïo Technologies for mechanical under-vine weeding and soil work — GNSS RTK navigation, up to 6.5 ha/day, 600 kg tool lift, and a growing catalogue of approved implements (Clemens, Souslikoff, Boisselet, Naïo's own EVOLT intervine). Billed by Naïo as the lightest autonomous vineyard robot on the market.

Small autonomous barn robot for cage-free layer, breeder and turkey houses — patrols the litter on 4-wheel drive, stimulating birds with lights, sounds and lasers to keep flocks moving, cut floor eggs and aerate litter. Developed by Breton startup Tibot (200+ Spoutnic/T-Moov units in 22 countries); Tibot's assets were acquired by fellow French poultry-robotics firm Octopus Biosafety in November 2022, which now manufactures and sells the T-Moov.

Lightweight (500 kg) autonomous mechanical in-row weeding robot from Rotterdam-based Odd.Bot — the "Weader" delta-arm module pulls weeds with 2 mm precision at up to 2 weeds/second (240,000+ weeds/ha/day), running day and night on hot-swappable batteries at ~500 W total draw. Built for fine vegetable crops: carrots, onions, parsnips, red beet, chicory. Production slots sell out roughly a year ahead.

Solar-assisted laser weeding robot from Almkerk-based Pixelfarming Robotics — high-power laser modules burst weed cells at the two-leaf stage, chemical-free. Two frame sizes (3.20–3.60 m and 5.80–6.20 m working width) with 360°-rotating wheel units for configurable track widths; four 48 V hot-swappable batteries topped up by roof solar panels, optional diesel range extender for 24/7 work. Machines are working on farms in Europe and Canada; delivery 16–20 working weeks by production batch.

Hybrid diesel-electric autonomous straddle tractor from SITIA — a reconfigurable platform for vineyards, market gardens and orchards that carries standard implements for up to 24 h of work.

Fully electric autonomous straddle robot for vineyards from Reims-based VitiBot, majority-owned by tractor maker SDF Group since 2022 — 75 kWh battery, ~10 h work autonomy, modular tools for soil work, mowing and spraying; 50+ units working in European vineyards.

Crawler-tracked autonomous spraying robot for steep, narrow vineyards — inverted-U frame straddles vines up to 1.4 m, 200 L electrostatic spray tank, 45% slope capability. Developed by Yanmar, on sale in France since 2023 through dedicated subsidiary Yanmar Vineyard Solutions (Champagne region focus, Moët & Chandon partnership); a weeder attachment was added in 2024.
